The RK is committed to providing a healthy, safe, and productive workplace. We strive to eliminate the use of personal and environmental products with scents and fragrances to prevent adverse reactions among residents, staff, and visitors. Where possible, please choose to use unscented products.

This is local artist Susan Walsh, trained in Time Slips Creative Storytelling, who meets weekly with Residents in the Rhubarb Patch to create stories together.

The RK Family Council will be hosting a meeting with guest speaker Joanne MacKenzie.

The Resident & Family Satisfaction Surveys were carried out in November / December of 2024.

Since we are in the midst of a Canada Post strike, we ask that you please drop off your completed survey in the main lobby of the RK.

As a result of the Canada Post strike, we would appreciate if donations can be dropped off at the RK to ensure donors are acknowledged during the December 8th Lights of Love celebration.

This morning we’re revisiting our Core Values Video which reminds us of the importance of living our Core Values each and every day in support of our mission and vision.

This campaign highlights the commitment of continuing care employees to promoting the happiness, health, wellbeing, and independence of their clients.

On September 12, 2024, the RK MacDonald  wore pink to signify that bullying is unacceptable in our workplace – and that we as a community will not accept bullying.

On December 7th, the RK Nursing Home Foundation held a celebration in honor of the 2025 Lights of Love Fundraising Campaign in the St. Martha’s Chapel.
