Opening Statement
The R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home is a Long-Term Care Home to 137 Residents and employs 250 staff in various Departments.
Scope of Position: Responsible for implementing rehabilitative strategies for improving resident’s quality of life through the provision of prescribed therapeutic programs, related documentation and communication.
Qualifications required – Graduation from a recognized Community College Rehabilitation Assistant Program or recognized OTA or PTA College Program. Regular & consistent attendance is essential.
Skills & Abilities: Able to foster demonstrate and maintain good public relations with residents, families, visitors, and the public, coworkers and other members of the health care team. Ability to work independently, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and must be physically able to perform all aspects of the work. Hours of Work
Days 7-5 pm (Between Mon – Fri) (subject to change)
Salary
$21.1564-24.3190
(Based on experience as per Unifor contract pay scale) (Pay for Breaks and Dinner) 80hrs bi weekly

Probation – 528 hrs. or (subject 320 hrs. trail period if probation period completed in another unionized position).
Sick benefits- (Upon Completion of a 528-hr. probation) if not already completed.
