In an effort to support staff and residents to pay tribute to the deceased resident, the Honour Guard begin when the quilt is laid upon the deceased resident as they leave. The Honour Guard is a meaningful way to pay our respects and to say good bye.

The RK MacDonald’s Family Council is recruiting new members. The Council is an organized, autonomous group of family members of the residents who aim to be a collective voice for the residents via a collaborative relationship with the RK Administration.

Updated Shellfish Allergy SOP
The RK MacDonald Nursing Home would like to remind visitors, staff, and residents to be mindful of those with shellfish allergies this spring and summer. Please view the updated SOP on mandatory procedures that must be followed when lobster is brought into the RK.
Main Entrance Door and Visitor Access
The RK MacDonald is looking into alternative methods to keep residents with high risk of elopement safe that will increase visitors’ access to the main entrance.
