The Impact of the Martha’s

“The Martha’s mean so much to us, and we are so grateful for their leadership, courage, and wisdom in responding to the need for a seniors care home,” says Benoit.

In February 1958, the RK MacDonald Guest Home was opened under the administration of the Martha’s. In 1971, the Congregation entered a purchase agreement with the Town of Antigonish and the Municipality of the County of Antigonish, and to this day, the Sisters maintain a presence on the RK MacDonald Nursing Home Corporation’s Board of Directors.
